Har igennem 25 år haft samtaler og kurser med min healings-og meditationslærer, og heldigvis båndede jeg dem. Over 250 samtaler er næsten afskrevet fra lydkassettebånd. Men ikke kurserne. Indholdet i samtalerne er nok personligt, men også af stor almen værdi. Hvilket i højere grad gælder kurserne. Jeg arbejder på at gøre materialet tilgængeligt. 1. Kender du til en anden måde – end lytte-skrive – til at overføre ordene på lydbåndene til digital tekst? 2. Vil jeres projekt kunne bruges til at gøre lydmaterialet – forudsat at det overføres til digital form – “søg-bart”?

About intuitive reading. Maybe you have experience with opening books on a random page and finding the information you needed. That is hard to do with a digital reader. Unless you incorporate a feature in the reader – Acrobat Reader or an opensource reader (is such one around??). The feature for intuitive reading would for instance ask you to choose between a number of possibilities, such as “page”, “section”, or “marked section” in the text you want to read in. After the choice, you would then hit a button that will give a random number between 1 and the highest number of the chosen kind (for instance pages). Then you will be asked, if you want to go to the page or section or marked section, having the random number. When you click ‘yes’, the reader will take you to the appropriate part, where you start reading. A place you were brought to through randomness or guided by your intuitive faculties – the explanation is not significant, but the tool would be. I cannot program, but such a feature would probably basically consist of existing programming brought together. It should be able to: 1. count the number of pages, sections, and marked sections in the text to be read. 2. the author of the text should have the option to make “marked sections”, i.e. to highlight sections of special value. Basically, it would be used to avoid insignificant content in some sections, which the author then would not ‘mark’, and therefore would not be chosen. 3. find a true random number in the range chosen. 4. put the random number into a “go-to” feature, and then bring you to the random place in the text.
Henrik, would you be able to bring this idea to some opensource people (Mozilla, OpenOffice, or ??), who could make the feature and make it available for all? Or could you give me a hint as to which direction to look in? Personally, I need such a reader for several texts, among others a very long text I am preparing.
